The best thing about the DALI-2 solution from ESYLUX is how easy it is to implement. Whether through easy cabling with DALI, immediate commissioning of the system in broadcast mode or the helpful setup assistant in the ESY-App – you can bring all buildings up to date in no time!
The DALI-2 control unit (Application Controller, APC) from ESYLUX is integrated into an APC presence detector or into an APC DIN rail module. A single control unit provides cross-room control of up to 64 control gears across up to 16 lighting groups – the largest possible number within a DALI-2 line.
For individual control in all areas, BMS (Building Management System) presence detectors and push buttons provide information from their zones, e.g. regarding presence and brightness.
Cabling using just one 5-wire NYM cable is possible because the mains voltage and DALI control line can run through the same sheathed cable. The system can then be started up immediately in broadcast mode and conveniently configured via the ESY-App.
The bidirectional communication via the integrated Bluetooth module in the APC presence detector or APC DIN rail module also allows the current configuration to be read out!

Large-scale office buildings occasionally bank on centrally controlled building management systems from third-party manufacturers, such as Beckhoff, Wago, Sauter and Helvar (router 950).
BMS presence detectors from ESYLUX feature field-proven, high-quality sensor technology, making them a top choice here too, as they reliably supply the control unit with all the necessary information!
Non-floating inputs in APC presence detectors and floating inputs in BMS presence detectors enable simple override using a conventional push button. Any push buttons already installed can be used for this purpose!
The alternative: DALI-2 push buttons from ESYLUX that can be labelled individually.
DALI-2 primarily controls the lighting. However, switch actuators enable 230 V devices to also be integrated – allowing the standby consumption of office equipment and DALI-2 drivers to be limited and allowing presence-dependent switching of ventilation systems, for example.
DALI-2 control units can be configured directly via the ESY-App.
For automation and lighting solutions without a built-in Bluetooth module (such as DALI broadcast presence detectors), you will also need an ESY-Pen to transfer parameters: This acts as a bridge to the infrared sensors.
